I’ve never really gotten into twitter. I can’t understand it. Its like instant message to me don’t see the point I don’t need to be keeping up with other people.

I’m going half way here – I sympathise with twitter on the first point – it is purely a technical decision in restricting who views what. Saying that – arent they “extending” networks by getting you to follow more people rather than catch them in passing tweets?

I’m with you on point 2 – RT’s for me are meant to be for convos and not link sharing really. I think I have followed more people (and I am choosy about who or how many I follow) because of RTs compared to searching for people or profiles.

I’ve been twittering actively since December 07 I think. Luckily for me, I can ignore twitter while working if I have to. Since I like music, when I discovered blip.fm it was natural to use it.

Of course I figured if all I did was tweet songs, people would get irritated. Hence the blipping hour every couple of days.

I’m right there with you on making new friends. Lately, my twitter activity has been very limited as I’m working on meeting a few deadlines.

I’m not a huge Twitter user and only been on for about two months or so. Thank you for this post.

I haven’t really discovered anything new. But I have made some new friends on there – like you.
