@ Barbara – 4 kids! That’s awesome! I’m looking at my mom in a whole new light these days. She gave birth to 4 kids too. I’m freaking out with my first!

Wow. Take very good care of your wonderful gift. I suggest you get a book about “Baby’s first year.” It should contain all the information from the first month to the 12th month. It’s very convenient when you are searching for answers in emergency situations.

Put much time on her, that way you’ll discover the nuances of her cryings. Also give her all the needed vaccinations, it will benefit her a lot.

The picture said, Back to school! for me too. ‘course, I have 4 kids, so I’m kinda sorta slanted in that direction….

Any questions you have regarding sleeping thru the night, breastfeeding, whatever…I must have gone thru everything imaginable under the sun.

Regarding sleep….remember, nobody went to college with the inability to sleep thru the night. Same thing with toilet training….

@ John – Thanks John, that’s great advice! I was thinking of catching up on chores while the baby slept during the day but you may have a point about sleeping when they do.

@ Marc – Lol! I hope so. But seeing as how I’ve been spared from morning sickness, I’m hoping my child will continue to be as considerate

@ Mel – Wow. Guess the best thing to do is wait and see. I just wish we could sleep a lot right now and store it all up for when the baby comes so that we wouldn’t be tired and devoid of sleep all the time post birth.

*coughs* my daughter woke up for 3-4 hourly feeds every night until just before she turned two. Every child is different, yours may sleep through the night from six weeks onwards or may way for feeds for the next few years. They’re all individual.
