Triumph & Trial Report for May

Posted by Samar | Posted in General | Posted on 01-06-2009

It’s been a good month and as always, there were ups and down.

Triumph:

  • I got  my first taste of affiliate sales this month. Felt good!
  • I did website copywriting for a client who was willing to take a chance with me.

Trials:

  • I’ve been so busy with work, I’ve barely had any time to study. Going to take on less work the next few weeks and concentrate on giving a couple of exams.
  • An invoice of mine is stuck. I got paid half, but the rest is yet to come with a promise that it will be paid. Not quite sure what to do. Let’s see how it plays out this month.

News:

Not much news except that my 6 week trip back home got delayed. I will now be going home in late September. As fast as the time is going, I keep wishing it would go faster.

In other news, my personal blog has reawakened with a new look and an old feel. If you’re interested in blog posts by me that all start with the word ‘I’ – head on over to Cuppa Life ;)

P.S: Don’t kill me if you see a new look over at The Base again soon. I promise this will the absolute last for at least a year. The colors won’t change. Just the lay out.

In other news…
You’ve gone back to writing Title Case ;)

Nothing wrong with freshening the look of your blog. Did a bit of housekeeping myself.

I love the Twitter icon and the featured posts scroller but can it be slowed down a little?

Lol! At the start of every month, I put up a sheet titled ‘Triumph & Trial Report’. It was more a matter of proper nouns :)

Part of the reason I chose this theme is because I love the fonts! And the look is so much cleaner don’t you think?

I’m trying to figure out how to slow it down, till then if you move your mouse over it, it’ll stop scrolling. After you’ve read the excerpt and want the next slide to come up, move the mouse away. Read and repeat :) (at least till I figure out how to slow it down)

Yes it is cleaner, me likey.

Thanks for the mouse over tip as well I didn’t know about that. I wonder if it works on other sites I frequent?
